Follow Up Lithuania
Follow Up Lithuania
As part of their commitment to spreading the impact of the SCRATCH-PRO project, the Lithuanian team from Tėkmės School creatively adapted their follow-up activities to engage young students aged 11–15. Through interactive sessions on creativity and entrepreneurship, the team introduced project insights and facilitated the playful "Sell a Bad Product" challenge, helping youth grasp key concepts of sustainable business thinking. The activities generated enthusiasm, laughter, and reflection—demonstrating how Erasmus+ values and non-formal education methods can inspire innovation even in the youngest learners.
Follow Up Activities from Lithuanian Team
As a continuation of their participation in the Erasmus+ project Sustainable Business Matters: From Scratch to Pitch (SCRATCH-PRO), the Lithuanian team—comprising Ramunė Jarista, Indrė Stakėnienė, Inga Kanaporienė, and Žaneta Černiauskienė—organized a series of engaging follow-up activities at "Tėkmės" School in Pabaiskas, Lithuania. These sessions were held on the 28th and 29th of May 2025 at 14:00, each lasting approximately one hour.
The follow-up activities targeted approximately 40 young students aged between 11 and 15, from grades 5 to 9. The team intentionally designed the sessions to align with the school's ongoing theme of creativity, making the activities both timely and meaningful for the participants.
The sessions began with a short presentation introducing the SCRATCH-PRO project, its objectives, and the experience of the Lithuanian participants in Cyprus. This was followed by an open discussion on how creativity plays a vital role in business development, especially in shaping innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial ideas.
To put theory into practice and make the learning process more dynamic, the team facilitated a fun and interactive group challenge called "Sell a Bad Product." In this exercise, the students were first divided into small teams and asked to invent and describe deliberately impractical or absurd products—examples included "cactus bedding," "a never-ending beeping alarm," and "shoes glued into one." In the second session, teams swapped their product ideas with one another and, using only minor adjustments, prepared short and persuasive marketing presentations to "sell" these bad products.
The exercise proved to be both educational and entertaining, sparking laughter, curiosity, and critical thinking among the students. It encouraged them to apply problem-solving skills, creativity, teamwork, and public speaking—all core competencies related to entrepreneurship.
The overall reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Students actively engaged in the challenge, demonstrated originality in their pitches, and reflected on the deeper message of turning challenges into opportunities. This approach effectively mirrored the key methodologies learned during the SCRATCH-PRO training in Cyprus—particularly the use of non-formal education, experiential learning, and creativity as tools for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development.
Through these follow-up activities, the Lithuanian team not only disseminated the outcomes of the SCRATCH-PRO project but also inspired a new generation of young learners to think outside the box, explore business ideas, and consider sustainability as a core element of innovation. The sessions served as a meaningful extension of the Erasmus+ experience, bridging international learning with local community impact.

Evaluation Paragraphs from the participants
Indrė Stakėnienė 03/06: Participating in the Erasmus+ project Sustainable Business Matters: From Scratch to Pitch in Cyprus, organized by ACPELIA, was a truly enriching and energizing experience. The project offered a perfect balance of learning, creativity, cultural exchange, and personal reflection. One of the most memorable parts for me was the opportunity to not only explore topics like sustainability and entrepreneurship through practical activities and teamwork, but also to bring these insights back home. We connected our follow-up session with the creativity theme currently explored at Tėkmė School. Working with teenagers, we introduced the project, discussed the role of creativity in business, and facilitated the fun and insightful "Sell a Bad Product" challenge. Seeing the students engage so openly and creatively—advertising things like cactus bedding or shoes glued into one—was a highlight that reflected the spirit of the whole project: bold, playful, and deeply educational. Throughout the week in Cyprus, I felt supported and inspired by the openness and professionalism of the facilitators and the warmth of the international group. The interactive sessions—from MVPs and value propositions to games and group reflections—encouraged us to think outside the box while learning step by step. I especially appreciated the safe space created for sharing thoughts and experiences, which made the learning process feel both personal and meaningful. Huge thanks to ACPELIA, the project team, and everyone involved—from the fantastic trainers to the hosts at Hylatio Tourist Village. The environment, the food, the nature, and the people made this project unforgettable. I return home full of ideas, energy, and gratitude—for the new skills, the deep connections, and the chance to grow both professionally and personally.
Ramunė Jarista 26/06: I am extremely grateful to Tēkmės School for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus plus project Sustainable Business Matters: From Scratch To Pitch in sunny Cyprus on May 16-25. This experience was special and unique! First of all, because I had the opportunity to get to know different cultures, very diverse and cool people! And at the same time, it was so good and peaceful to travel with wonderful and close-to-heart colleagues from "Tėkmė". I am very grateful to the wonderful project facilitators Kateryna, Erma and Bobby, who sincerely, friendly, creatively and flexibly organized the theoretical and practical learning process. Thanks to relaxation exercises, games, debates, presentations, team building sessions, invited guests, and other very different forms of activities, which allowed us to touch on the topic of sustainability and get to know it better. And everything was done step by step, according to how much each of us allows ourselves to open up, experience, carefully paying attention to each participant, thoughtfully planning the work and rest regime, which provided an opportunity not only to learn, but also to get to know sunny Cyprus better with its fabulous landscape, incredibly friendly people, fabulously delicious food, and brightly coloured flowers. So this project was a great opportunity for me to experience, learn new things, to get to know other people, and what is also very important, myself. To know my possibilities and limitations ☺️. Also a big THANK YOU to the project manager Nikolas, Acpelia organization for all the help and care for us, Hylatio Tourist Village for the hospitality, wonderful apartments and very delicious food!
Inga Kanaporienė 03/06: Participating in the Erasmus+ project in Cyprus, "From the Scratch to the Pitch", was an invaluable experience that combined creativity, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility. Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to work in an international team where we explored sustainability ideas and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), looking for ways to integrate them into innovative projects—from the initial concept to the final pitch. The project not only encouraged critical thinking and collaboration but also highlighted the importance of a responsible approach to the environment, social inclusion, and creative problem-solving. I truly appreciate the excellent work of our team leaders, who guided us professionally and inspiringly through every stage of the process—from brainstorming to successful presentations. I especially value the opportunity to have participated as part of the Tekmė school team—it was a pleasure to represent our school in such a meaningful and international initiative. This experience enriched my knowledge of sustainability and entrepreneurship and gave me the confidence to act in a global context. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring journey! Thank you Nicolas for such an amazing opportunity :)
Žaneta Černiauskienė 17/06: Taking part in the Sustainable Business Matters: From Scratch to Pitch project in Cyprus was an inspiring and refreshing experience. The combination of hands-on activities, thought-provoking discussions, and a supportive atmosphere made it a truly memorable learning journey. I particularly enjoyed the creative sessions like the "My after 5 year" challenge and the MVP workshop — they pushed us to think differently and work as a team under time pressure. The group reflections in the evenings helped tie everything together and gave space to process the day meaningfully. Thank you to the ACPELIA team and all participants for making this project such a warm, engaging, and inspiring experience. I'm taking home not only new knowledge but also great memories and connections.
