Team Building Activity – PDA Scratch PRO
Sunday, 18 May 2025 – Pissouri Village
To kick off the PDA Scratch PRO project and foster group spirit, participants engaged in a dynamic team-building activity on Sunday afternoon, 18 May 2025. Held in the picturesque surroundings of Pissouri village, the activity aimed to strengthen collaboration, communication, and creativity among the participants through a series of engaging and locally inspired tasks. Divided into teams, the participants explored the area, completed missions, and connected with the local environment and each other in a fun and interactive way. Tasks for the teams in village Pissouri
Pissouri, a charming village in Cyprus, has been honored with the "Best Tourism Villages 2024" award by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This accolade recognizes Pissouri's dedication to sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, and community engagement. The village offers a variety of specialized tourism experiences, including cycling and hiking routes, religious sites, water sports, diving, conference tourism, horseback riding, bird watching, and stargazing. Pissouri also highlights local culture through products like halloumi cheese, soultanina grapes, and wine, alongside arts workshops, traditional cuisine, rural activities, and cultural events. The community has been acknowledged for its environmental initiatives, receiving the Green Community Award and being named the "Cyprus Green Capital 2020-2021," earning the Golden Muflon Award for developing thematic routes that prioritize environmental respect.

In the square of the village there is a graphical fountain
with some art on it. What is the name of

The Communal Amphitheater of Pissouri is a new amphitheater with old design (coming from ancient theaters); find it and find the place where you can talk and be heard from everywhere.

Super close to the fountain is one of the few markets in central Pissouri. The owner enjoys when visitors come to Pissouri from Erasmus, what is his name? Take a group photo with him!

There is a vast point of view in the village. Where is it? Can you find it? Next to this point of view there is one of the best cafeterias in the whole area of Limassol County. What is the name of the cafeteria? Hint: it's a type of photography 😉

Pissouri is growing and there are a lot of restaurants. In Pissouri square there is a restaurant named VRAKAS. What does that mean? How is this restaurant relying on the history and traditions of Cyprus? Bonus points if you get a picture with the name of the restaurant in the background or one of the owners!

Pissouri, in the last 40 years, started becoming a touristic place. There is an Inn and restaurant which it was the first opened from the beginning of the touristic period in Pissouri. Take a photo with your group of a business in Pissouri that you believe to be sustainable. Why did you choose this business?
- Friends hospice- charity shop, place where people leave clothes and it is being reused(therefore upcycling) meets sdgs
- because , La interio uses old things that gives new life.

Since Pissouri was recently in the list of Best Tourism Villages 2024, A new "frame" was popped up in the square, ideal for taking photos for Instagram/facebook stories. Can you find it? Take a photo with your group with this frame!

Talk to any local you can, and ask them the question "what is the biggest challenge for a small business here and why"?
- Urbanization- people moving to cities, particularly young people. There is less labour remaining and expensive, which is challenging considering incomes from business.
